Humphrey's Opens Beach Paint in Middletown
May 1, 2009 - TIVERTON - Humphrey's, a building materials supplier and the largest Pittsburgh Paints (PPG) retail dealer in Rhode Island has opened its first stand-alone paint store, Beach Paint by Humphrey's, at 750 Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown.
The 2,000 sq. ft. retail space features a colorful, harmonious interior design with an inviting environment. Open to the public, Beach Paint services consumers, trade professionals, architects and interior designers. Its knowledgeable paint staff has 135 years combined experience. Delivery service is available for high volume orders. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to Noon.
Located along one of Aquidneck Island's primary commerce roads, next to 7-11, Beach Paint opened its doors in Spring, 2009 after acquiring fellow PPG dear, Richardson's Beach Paint also of Middletown.

Beach Paint marks Humphrey's second full service PPG location with the first based inside its flagship Humphrey's Building Supply Center at 590 Main Road in Tiverton.
As the largest of 15 PPG retail dealers located in Rhode Island and one of six in Southeastern Massachusetts, Humphrey's is independently owned and operated. President William 'Jay' Humphrey and his brother, CEO Scott Humphrey, mark the fifth generation to own and manage their family's business which first opened in 1885. Today, Humphrey's employs about 51 persons across each of its five facilities located in Tiverton, Middletown and Warwick.
In addition to a full service paint center, building supply center and outdoor lumberyard, Humphrey's flagship in Tiverton houses multiple resources including Humphrey's Kitchen & Bath Design Center, Installation Services and a Specialty Hardware Gallery.
